Curtains I made for my windows in my greatroom/kitchen

I love the wormy oak trim around my french door and windows in my great room and I did not want to cover the wood so I made these simple curtains using Muslim. I used a rod for the door and tie backs but for the windows I used tenson rods so that the curtains will be inside the wood trim and I used a tie at the top to hold them open you can also add curtains in the center to give more privacy but I love seening the gardens so I just used the top set.

I had not made the ties yet I used ribbon so you can see how the curtains will look with them. They are vey simple I was not happy with ruffles and you can see why I did not want to hide the beautiful wood around the windows. I decorate my home using flea market finds and re-purposed items nothing fancy my house is a home to be comfortable in not feel stuffy and formal just comfy cozy and simple!

Sue that is so sweet...I like them pulled back way up high like that... I agree ruffles wouldn't do here!
